Michael Bahner

Michael Bahner brings more than two decades of legal experience, disciplined leadership, and a client-centered approach to his work at Baker Law, Ltd. His practice focuses on helping individuals, families, and closely held business owners design clear, forward-looking plans that protect their wealth, preserve family harmony, and ensure the smooth transition of assets and businesses across generations.

Mike’s estate planning work includes the design and implementation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, advanced tax-efficient gifting strategies, planning for minors, charitable planning structures, and comprehensive strategies for wealth transfer. He also advises business owners on succession planning, governance, and the legal structures necessary to support continuity, control, and long-term enterprise success.

Before joining Baker Law, Mike operated his own law practice, where he developed experience in trust and estate matters and learned firsthand the importance of providing clients with practical guidance and deeply attentive service. His earlier professional background in both private and public-sector leadership roles and specialized work within the United States Air Force shaped his ability to work through complex issues with discipline, precision, and a commitment to protecting the people he serves.

Mike earned his B.S. in Business Management, cum laude, from the University of Maryland University College, and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law, completing his degree in just two and a half years. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio.

A longtime resident of Northwest Ohio, Mike is active in the local bar and committed to serving families and business owners throughout the region.
